What is the purpose of this role?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Electrician to join our Waste Treatment site on the Isle of Wight. The team you will be part of help local authorities and businesses to meet their cost and sustainability challenges by providing innovative waste treatment services. We support local initiatives to encourage people to recycle more and work hard to make a difference to the local community.

What will this role involve?

As the part of our team of Electricians you will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to provide technical support to the operations team, in undertaking Planned and Reactive Maintenance, ensuring the electrical plant, control & instrumentation achieves a high state of availability, and reliability through continued improvement.

Ensuring that all company and Legislative 'Safe Systems of Work' (SSW) are fully adhered to, including Near Misses, Incident Investigations, production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) providing support where required and implementation of any recommendations arising from such systems.

What are we looking for?

• Recognised EC&I Apprenticeship Scheme.
• ONC/HNC in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Qualified through experience.
• Happy to work in a rotating 4 ON 4 OFF shift pattern.
• Able to provide additional support during shutdowns and breakdowns.
