Tachart Ltd t/a Bolt & Nut manufacturing is a successful and dynamic precision engineering company, established in 1974 and currently expanding its operations in Swinton, Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

The company’s main activity is the manufacturing of Special Fasteners and Machined components for critical applications from Superalloys and/or from alloys requiring an advanced level of traceability.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our quality and inspection department. Reporting to the Quality Manager the candidate will be a team player, possessing good Interpersonal skills, demonstrate a methodical approach and be a resilient advocate for continuous improvement. Experience in either precision engineering or materials engineering is essential. Speaking further European languages would be beneficial. Experience with ISO 9001: 2015 and AQAP 2110 Rev D would be beneficial.

Typically activities include:

* Assessing and interpreting customers’ orders and quality requirements into work orders for manufacture.

* Inspecting incoming materials to purchase orders and material specifications.

* Preparing EN(phone number removed).1 & EN(phone number removed).2 Material Certification for the company’s products.

* Sourcing, negotiating and placing purchase orders for raw materials and inspection/testing services.

* Maintaining traceability of incoming, stock and outgoing material.

* Managing supplier performance.

* Investigation of NCRs.

* Raising quality awareness on the shop floor.

* Managing the company’s calibration records.

* Performing or assisting with internal audits.

* Supporting and constructively challenging production & management.

* Auditing and developing the company’s QMS

* Active member of business development projects.

* Cover essential administrative operational tasks in time of sickness and holidays.

* This is a key appointment, and you will be expected to work closely with other Managers within the company to ensure we meet or exceed our business goals.

On the job training will be provided and you will be both supported and challenged.

Qualifications, experience & skills:

* Further Education - A Level / HNC / HND / Diploma / Degree.

* A basic understanding of engineering materials and heat treatment is essential.

* Computer literacy.

* Confident.

* Organisational skills/ Project Management.

* European language – beneficial but not essential.

* Experience with ISO 9001: 2015 and AQAP 2110 Rev D - beneficial.

Salary expectations:

Salary ranging between £25k – £30k* depending upon experience.

* Based upon 36.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00. The role is open to part-time/full-time individuals or reduced hours depending on circumstance.
