Children’s Services Assistant - Touching Lives – Transforming Families
About the role
We are recruiting a Children’s Services Assistant to work 16 hours per week (part time) to work throughout Northern Ireland. This position is offered on a fixed term basis until 31st August 2019 - there may be a possibility of an extension dependent on funding.
Touching Lives – Transforming Families is an exciting and innovative project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. Sense leads and co-ordinates the project in partnership with the: Belfast; Northern; South Eastern; Southern and Western Health and Social Care Trusts.
The project will work across Northern Ireland to provide support to children with sensory impairments and additional support needs and their families. The Children’s Services assistant will be based at Sense Northern Ireland's office in Mallusk. You will provide support and assistance to the family support worker at events and workshops for children, siblings and parents across Northern Ireland. Therefore, the successful applicant must have access to transport.
About you
The ideal Children’s Services Assistance will have proven experience of working with children or young people that are disabled. In addition, you will holf a relevant level three qualification and an understanding of issues that can affect children and their families.
