Are you wondering how to make that first step into an office based, limited travel role? I am looking for a time served Plumber/ Electrician who would like to get off the tools and into an office based role. You'll be experienced in your own field (M or E) and have worked on Commercial projects for some of the local subcontractors, understanding the technical aspects of building services installation. You'll be looking for a trainee role in which you can develop your commercial skills further. You may have gone back to college, perhaps undertaking an HNC/D in building services or a related subject. This, however, is not essential - what is essential is an ability to communicate and articulate well, being organised and driven to succeed. As a trainee estimator, you'll be given the support and mentoring of more experienced people, learning on the job, pricing multi million-pound exclusive projects, building a strong network of contacts and suppliers.
