As part of this growth we are looking to appoint an experienced development DBA and Data warehouse developer, to be part of our platforms team.

What will this role involve?

In this exciting new position you will be responsible for the data architecture and build of database and warehousing solutions to support the delivery of significant IT projects. This will involve assisting in the design, planning, implementation and optimisation of Amey data sources, and liaising with production DBAs in other teams and 3rd parties, to facilitate knowledge transfer into BAU and a move to a DevOps culture. In addition to developing database solutions, you will be responsible for the creation and population of a data warehouse in azure using SQL DB / DW and datafactory connecting to and aggregating multiple data sources from around the Amey business.

What are we looking for?

We are searching for a candidate who has gained experience within a Microsoft SQL Server DBA capacity in a large scale, complex blue chip organization with particular specialism in data architecture, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and structured DW methodologies. You will have proven, extensive and recent experience with SQL Server (knowledge of Azure SQL server preferable) and at least have an awareness of how your skills will transfer to newer platforms such as power BI and data factory. Ideally you will have experience designing, and building databases services and the ability to design solutions to exploit MS Azure (PAAS, IAAS).
