Part-Time Team Secretary Role for a Professional Services Company

Your new company
This company has provided financial and professional services to private clients and their business interests for over a century. Today, the firm is one of the largest independently owned investment managers in the UK in addition to being the country's eighth largest accounting firm. Their 1,700 staff serves clients including individuals, families, entrepreneurs, charities, trustees, professional advisers and businesses from 13 offices in the UK, Ireland and Jersey. The Bristol office comprises 34 partners and directors and around 140 staff working from offices in the heart of the city. They focus primarily on mid-corporates, owner-managed businesses, private clients and professionals, and provide robust, open and honest support.

Your new role
You will provide full secretarial support to the team in the following areas:

  • Being a polite, friendly, and professional contact through all forms of communication to clients
  • You will be responsible for diary management from booking meetings, confirming arrangements with clients, and booking rooms, venues, taxis etc
  • Providing ad hoc administrative support e.g. cheque requisitions, coding invoices, scanning, photocopying, searching Companies House and Land Registry websites, etc.
  • You may also be involved in ad hoc projects
  • You will assist with accurate client record keeping on the database from setting up to extracting reports
  • You will be responsible for post and committee meetings as well
  • This is a varied role with a wide variety of responsibilities for a wide range of individuals across the business.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Significant experience of working in a professional environment
  • Detailed knowledge of office packages and strong IT skills
  • Willing to learn the company's own systems
  • Fast and Accurate audio and copy typing
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work well in a pressurised environment with the ability to prioritise work
  • Good judgement, planning, and organisational skills


What you'll get in return
You'll get a full-time equivalent salary of up to £25000 and flexible hours (20/25 hours) that work around you, ideally over five days a week.
