Position: Partnerships and Development Officer

Location: Wiltshire: flexible home / office base, with a minimum 1 day per week at either Semington Carers Centre or Salisbury Carers Centre

3 in 5 of us will become a carer at some point in our lives. Unpaid carers save the economy over £132bn every year – that’s the cost of a second NHS. The carers our client supports save the Wiltshire economy over £961 million a year.

Our client helps carers access services, information, education and training, respite, and breaks from their caring role. They ensure they have a voice that is heard and work with health and social care professionals and employers to raise carer awareness and develop best practice.

The Role

Working for Carers is a membership and accreditation programme for employers with 36 members in Wiltshire representing over 18,000 employees. Due to the success of the programme is it expanding and is now being offered in 6 other regions.

The Partnerships and Development Officer will manage the Working for Carers programme, updating support materials and content, communicating with members and partners, presenting to potential members and ensuring all administration tasks are up to date.

The role is 3 days a week initially, but with Working for Carers expanding this role, it could become full time or a job share.

About You

As Partnerships and Development Officer, you will have experience of relationship building and networking as a key part of the role is to liaise with member and partnership organisations. You will be able to develop training materials and resources to support the programme and update content on an ongoing basis.

You will have a good standard of education and experience of delivering projects, achieving targets and reporting against outcomes. You will have access to a car and be able to drive for this position.

A HR qualification would be an advantage for the role but is not essential.

Our client is an equal opportunities employer and values diversity.
