About the role:

The role of lecturer is to equip our students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspire students to achieve their potential. With the role of Mechanical Workshop Tutor/Lecturer we will require someone with machining experience, this role will offer you the opportunity to make a real difference to the next generation every day. It is this job satisfaction that makes a teaching role special.

The key roles of a Lecturer are to deliver excellent teaching each year, completing the relevant preparation and marking that supports this, and to set SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential.

Have you got what it takes?

The successful candidate will have at least a L3 Mechanical Engineering qualification and experience of delivering practical workshop units in hand fitting techniques, turning and milling.

Possession of a teacher training qualification and the TAQA assessor award would be a distinct advantage. You must be passionate and professional with the ability to bring the subject matter to life while engaging with a wide variety of learners.
