Job description
We are looking for an experienced secretary for this position in an exciting and challenging role. This role is high profile in the East Midlands area of the Environment Agency, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to our Area Leadership Team to a high standard.
You will have excellent organisational skills and play a critical role in the smooth running of our organisation, enabling us to meet our objectives and protect and improve the Environment.
You will organise and manage calendars and be the point of contact for the managers you support.
You'll be organising and capturing actions in meetings, drafting agendas. Arranging internal and external meetings including booking travel and accommodation.
You will provide an efficient and consistent service, using your judgment and diplomacy to manage calendar conflicts and prioritise your workload.
The team
The East Midlands Customers and Engagement Team is a busy and friendly team and you will be part of a group of secretaries that support our Area Leadership Team, working closely within our Executive Office which includes our Area Director's personal assistant.
Across the team, we work hard to maintain our reputation and support business delivery for all teams across the area.
Experience/skills required
You will:
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
A positive "can do" attitude.
Be able to work flexibly, managing your own workload and meeting tight deadlines.
Be enthusiastic and able to work well in a team with a variety of people.
Take pride in your work and be highly organised.
Have the ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality at all times.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but training will be given.
