Are you a conscientious individual with some HR and/or Health & Safety administration and processes experiences?

Are you looking for part-time work or to get back into work, initially for 3 mornings a week? These hours may increase over time the more you can make the role your own and take on the extra duties - but will always remain flexible.

Reporting and working with the HR Manager/Company secretary, employing 65 staff, you will support in all aspects of support, admin and streamlining processes. This would suit somebody with experience but a totally flexible, supporting and professional work ethic.

Hours of Work: 9.30am – 2pm 3 mornings a week (1/2 hour break).(initially - hrs may increase over time)

Salary: 18-24K Pro rata depending upon experience - initially 12 hours.

Our client is a privately-owned, very successful and well-established company, employing 65 members of staff. This role will be based out of their Houghton Regis location, supporting the HR Manager/Company secretary in an array of administrative duties. This will be a broad and varied role, working across business areas such as HR and Health & Safety with a crossover into general administration. This role would be suited to a candidate with some level of HR Administration processes and systems experience, looking for a varied role to support the manager in all aspects of running the operations. A good work ethic with energy and conscientiousness, with a passion to learn and contribute to make this role your own, would describe an ideal candidate suitable to work in this professional and relaxed environment.

 Main Duties:

  • Support on HR administration including but not limited to; - recruitment process, including writing adverts, interview feedback, offer letters, starter packs, uniforms, IT set up for new starters, full induction process, appraisals process, monitoring holiday & absence, as well as administering exit interviews.
  • Support on Health & Safety liaising with 3rd party supplier and internal auditor to manage and co-ordinate the process for compliance. (training will be provided).
  • Support on GDPR compliance administration.
  • Support on other department overflow of administration when needed, processing of order documentation.
  • Answering the main office telephone in a professional manner.

  Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
  • Minimum GCSE English and Maths Grade C.
  • 1 year + experience in a similar role office based.
  • Confident, friendly telephone manner with the ability to build internal and external relationships with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Intermediate working level of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and accurate data entry.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The individual must be proactive, self-motivated and willingness to learn and support as well as able to work on own initiative when needed.

The hours are part-time and flexible, however may increase over time, 3 mornings a week to start with, 20 days holiday per year pro-rata with hours worked, plus bank holidays, rising to 25 over service. Private healthcare after 3 months. Statutory workplace Pension.
