We are recruiting for enthusiatic and caring invididuals to join our a special Residential School in the heart of Bristol. The service provides on-site residential care and education for students aged between 5 to 19 with severe and complex difficulties including physical and sensory needs.

Your job as a Support Worker you will be supporting the lives of vulnerable young people in a diverse and positive environment. You will be responsible of the development of the young people whilst developing a trusting relationship with time which puts their health, safety and welfare first. The role will provide appropriate physical and emotional support to children and young adults within residential and education/learning environments and with off-site activities.

Roles available

* Residential Support Worker: £17,493 - £19,531 per annum

* Waking Night Support Worker: £17,493 - £19,531

* Residential Shift Leader: £19,968 - £21,216 per annum

This role offers flexibility as there are both Full time and Part time vacancies available.

About the School

The aim of the school has the aim to empower and improve the quality of life of the young people they provide care for; they achieve this by aiming to progressing all of the students in various areas that include, self-care, communication, community engagement decision making and emotional resilience.

The school has recently undergone a new redevelopment which has improved the living and learning environments, which have been specifically to meet the individuals complex needs of the people of they support.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Enable the children to meet their needs and encourage them to achieve on-going development and growth

* Support learning and independence

* Assist to promote a safe homely environment that reflect the children’s interests

* Comply with quality standards and follow Safeguarding legislation whilst developing own practice

Please note that NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent is preferred, all candidates must have a full UK driving licence
