Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change (CN4C) is a charity and a social enterprise which aims to transform the quality of life for people, places and communities.
We’ve been around since 2001 and are focused on affecting change that will make lives better, make Cornwall fairer and combat inequality and injustice.
Having previously outsourced our finance function, we are now on the lookout for a Finance Officer to join us and support our in-house accounting processes for an initial 12 month contract which has the possibility to extend. This is a part time role, working 18 hours per week.

Your Role
As a Finance Officer, you will be tasked with providing financial and accounting support to our organisation.
Working closely with our Finance and Claims Team, you will work with Xero to input and monitor accounting information, including purchase and sales invoices.
Your role will also include:
- Monitoring debtors and creditors
- Carrying out bank reconciliations
- Maintaining customer accounts
- Supporting the Claims Team with appropriate accounting information and providing cover
- Completing payroll work
- Assisting with petty cash accounting
- Supporting the production and delivery of management accounts
About You
To be considered as a Finance Officer, you will need:
- At least two years’ experience of working in a finance environment
- At a minimum, one year’s experience of inputting financial information into an accounting package
- The ability to input data quickly and precisely
- Strong Excel skills
- A fast and accurate approach to work
- A close attention to detail
- An adaptable attitude and the ability to react positively to change
- A reliable, resilient mentality
Other organisations may call this role Accounts Technician, Finance Technician, Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator, Junior Accountant, or Accounts Junior.
This is a part time role, working 18 hours per week (exact days to be discussed at interview) for a 12 month contract. Due to the nature of our funding, the contract could be extended after the initial period.
