Apprentice Invoice Clerk
Fixed Term contract - 18 months
Full time, 35 hours per week

The Accounts Payable department for L&Q group are recruiting an Apprentice Invoice Clerk to join a busy, thriving team where flexibility and a hard-working attitude will be key!

This is a great opportunity to enter the finance industry, you will learn about the fundamentals of invoicing and you will interreact with all areas of the business.

Reporting into the Senior Invoice Clerk, you will learn how to process invoices in a timely and accurate manner across multiple systems. You will be required to liaise with our internal and external customers, which will require you to have strong communication skills.  In this role you will learn how to match purchase orders and process manual invoices into accounts systems.

Other duties will include:

  • Opening and sorting mail
  • Helping manage the account payable team mailbox
  • Processing cheque requests
  • Scanning, archiving and filing of manual invoices/requests
  • Assist with the authorisation of compliance checks
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong organisation skills, in order to meet deadlines for processing payments, be detail conscious, accurate and diligent.

Key points about our Apprentice programme:

  • Must have GCSE`s A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Can’t have a degree in related field
  • Must be able to work in the UK
  • Open to anyone aged 16 or over
  • No experience required
  • You will gain a Level 3 qualification
  • Programme duration is 18 months
