Due to the expansion of our business in response to our Brexit plans, Bank of America Merrill Lynch Designated Activity Company (“BAMLI DAC”) has become a significant institution supervised by a Joint Supervisory Team of the European Central Bank and Central Bank of Ireland supervisors.
As a result, there are a number of exciting opportunities to join the BAMLI DAC Regulatory Reporting team who are responsible for meeting extended reporting deliverables within a fast paced and dynamic environment in our growing Dublin office.
What will your key responsibilities involve?
- Managing the regulatory reporting schedule to ensure regulatory returns comply with external regulatory reporting requirements and internal policies.
- Continuously assessing and enhancing the regulatory reporting process, improving the quality of our regulatory submissions and identifying new approaches to improve efficiencies.
- Manage adhoc projects which are expected to include a diverse range of projects including implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements and strategic regulatory reporting infrastructure.
- Identifying and assessing regulatory changes and conducting gap analysis of new regulatory reporting requirements against existing processes.
- Engaging with various industry and advocacy groups with a focus on regulatory events, policies and developments.
- Work with other departments across the Bank (including Corporate Reporting, Business Unit Finance, Middle Office and Operations) ensuring effective collaboration, communication and development of reporting.
What skills and experience will you ideally possess?
- Qualified accountant with knowledge of US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Good understanding of the regulatory reporting environment in Ireland.
- Ability to analyse and present complex regulatory data and information.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced financial services organisation at an operational and strategic level.
- Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to organise, prioritise, manage and deliver under tight or conflicting deadlines.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software applications.
