About the company

Ashley Kate are delighted to be working with an established healthcare provider in their search for a part time (30 hours) Senior HR Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract.

About the role

This is a vital role in the business which will involve some regional travel so the successful candidate must have a full driving licence or the ability to travel regionally. The main objective of this role is to provide an efficient customer focussed HR service by assisting line managers and employees through professional, commercial and pragmatic HR advice and support. Please note that this is a PART TIME role for 30 hours per week and will be for 12 months covering maternity leave.

Main duties will include –

·Ensuring the HR database is fully maintained by overseeing new starters/leavers, contract and salary changes, holidays, absence management, appraisals and supervision records, disciplinary, grievance and training data.

·Carrying out employee relations cases including disciplinary and grievance investigations and meetings.

·Managing employee engagement and retention projects relating to initiatives and rewards, bonuses, incremental pay, holiday entitlement.

·Overseeing the organisations recruitment process.

·Line managing a HR and Recruitment Assistant.

·Completing any ad-hoc projects as required.

About you

My client is looking for an experienced HR professional who has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR and employee relations.

·At least 3 years’ experience at HR Advisor level (ideally from a care or service sector).

·Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.

·Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a heavy and demanding workload.

·Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

·IT literate and fully competent in the advanced use of MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel

·Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.

·CIPD qualification essential.
