Care in Mind provide residential services for young people aged 16-25 years old who have been discharged from psychiatric inpatient stays or secure children’s homes. The young people we care for often require a high level of support and dynamic approach to risk management in order to support problems they may have with self-harming, behaviour and emotional regulation.

Position: Bank Support Worker
Location: Warrington, Cheshire (commutable from Manchester, Liverpool, Northwich and surrounding areas)
Job type: Bank, Part Time
Hours: Zero hours contract
Salary: £8.75 per hour

About the role:

Our aim is to support the young people using a therapeutic approach to live in a non-secure community setting and to achieve their individual goals in preparation for transition to adult life. As part of our continued growth we are now looking to recruit Bank Support Workers to support our Cheshire teams.

As part of our bank team you will work on a zero hours contract supporting our residential houses across numerous locations in the Cheshire area. Your role will be to provide the highest standard of care to our young people following individual care plans and programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and as a bank worker you will have the opportunity to apply for permanent internal roles as they arise.

About you:

Experience is not essential as full training will be provided however you will need to have a good understanding of the issues young people face and the desire to make a real difference. You will need to be flexible in your approach and have the ability to work shifts including nights and weekends. Access to a car is desirable.
