Have you had a successful career? Are you ready for a change and excited by taking on a new challenge?

Do you want to make a real difference, every day, to the life chances of disadvantaged students using your extensive experience and knowledge?

Then join a pioneering movement to change the face of teaching.

Now Teach gives experienced professionals – including people who may have taken a break from work – a structured route into teaching, particularly in shortage subjects and challenging schools. We will help you navigate the complexities of the teacher training application and school recruitment process, as well as giving you ongoing support, guidance and, perhaps most powerfully of all, a network of peers who are all beginning a new career in teaching.

We have worked with career changers who have come from a wide range of industries and experience including banking, journalism, law, financial services, health and the civil service.

The skills, experience and insights that you have developed through your career will be powerful assets in a role that is both extremely challenging and enormously rewarding. They will help you enhance the learning of young people and enrich the schools in which you work. Teaching will also give you the opportunity to learn a new craft, rediscover your passion for a subject and open a new chapter in your life.

Now Teach places career changers into challenging secondary schools in London, the West Midlands, East Anglia and Hastings. Participants typically train via the Schools Direct route in a secondary school, gain a bursary and work a compressed timetable of 4 days per week.

Candidates who would like to teach the shortage subjects of Maths, computer science, languages (French & Spanish), geography and all sciencesare particularly encouraged to apply.

To be eligible, you'll need an undergraduate degree and an A level allied to the subject that you wish to teach, GCSE C grades or above in maths and English and to undergo a full DBS check.

Now Teach – it’s never too late to begin a new career.

*We will endeavour to find you a school but cannot guarantee a place. Priority is given to those who can teach shortage subjects, particularly Maths, Science, Computer Science and Spanish/French.
