Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Support Worker / Team Leader to join their diverse team within their registered care home, situated in North West Leicester.

They are one of the largest locally-based housing groups in the East Midlands. They manage over 9,500 homes and house more than 20,000 tenants across the east Midlands in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland.

Location: Beaumont Leys, Leicester

Salary: £16,816 to £19,088 per annum, pro-rata + enhancements

Hours: 35 hours per week on a 7 hour shift pattern, with flexibility required to work late shift starts and some weekends. A 33% bonus is paid for waking nights and double time paid for Christmas and New Year shifts.

About the Role:

Our client understands that there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to care, especially when it comes to dementia and complex needs. As Senior Support Worker / Team Leader you will support residents to live with respect and dignity, helping with personal care and day to day needs including arranging social activities, assisting with the provision of medication as needed, and provide any other support as required.

Full training will be given with the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications such as the Care Certificate.

About You:

Ideally you will have previous experience within a care role, but above all else they are looking for someone with empathy, patience and compassion who can take on the role with enthusiasm.

You need the ability to communicate with compassion and care and the ability to write notes is essential.

Due to the needs of the customers, there may be an element of moving and handling involved in the role; as such, you will need to be willing and able to undertake these duties.
