We have a great opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Children and Family Support Worker, working with families across the Midlands area. This is a part time vacancy, working 30 hours per week on a permanent contract.

About the role

The successful candidate will provide a professional, coordinated model of support to children and young people who have a range of sensory impairments and complex communication needs. This will involve working with colleagues to offer a range of accessible events and activities, as well as family support on an individual basis.

You will work as part of a team that covers all local authorities within the Midlands area including Stoke on Trent, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Birmingham.

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.

About you

Experience of working with disabled children or young people, including those with sensory impairments, is essential. You should hold a diploma in Childcare and Education, NNEB or equivalent Level 3 qualification. A sound knowledge of child protection processes is also required, as well as the skills necessary to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You should also have strong IT and administrative skills to support yourself in this role.
