We are looking for experienced Support workers to work with a residential college for students with LD £9.37
Your new company
A beautiful college for students with a range of Learning disabilities and complex needs set in Stonehouse, the college has some fantastic facilities including wood workshops, art and craft rooms and textile rooms. The college supports young people and some adults to live a fulfilling life and develop their key skills therefore improving their overall key skills. The college is run by a charitable organisation and are incredibly proud of their person centred ethos and the outcomes they achieve for the people that attend the college.
Your new role
We are looking for experienced Support workers to work with the students on a full time or part time basis. You will play an integral role in developing the skills of the students, helping with emotional support, occasional personal care but this is mainly prompting and helping support them during lessons and activities. We have the ability to provide you with full time work which would include the occasional weekend or bank flexible hours.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience of working with people who have a Learning disability previously in either children or adults, ideally hold an NVQ (although this is not essential) most importantly you will need to show a passion for working with people and disabilities.
