Progress Coaches will work alongside curriculum teams to welcome new students to college as part of enrolment and induction procedures and will deliver varied tutorial and work experience curriculum.
You will be involved in the planning and development of this curriculum, informed by the findings of student feedback and outcomes, and work with students on a 1:1 basis to support progress as part of the review system.
As well as liaising with the college Work Experience Team to support effective placements, you will identify concerns and barriers to students’ progress and work with parents/carers, other college staff and external agencies in order to overcome them.
Experience of dealing with conflicting demands, an ability to analyse data and excellent communication and administrative skills are essential. Previous experience of working in a pastoral role with young people and providing feedback would be desirable.
You will need to qualified to at least Level 3 and have a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification or a professional recognition in learning and skills. A good general standard of education including Maths and English Grade A*-C (or equivalent) or Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy is essential.
We are looking to make appointments across various curriculum areas including, but not limited to, Engineering, Construction, Animal Care, Health & Social Care, Public Services and Travel. There may be an opportunity for full and part-time positions.
This role is Term Time Only.
