Are you someone who enjoys bringing people together to achieve a meaningful goal, and working with a high degree of autonomy?

This is a role where you will be able to really take responsibility for the direction of work. A highly varied and exciting role, you will be working at the interface between the Government and the private sector, and involved in a strategically important, high profile programme of asset sales.

UK Government Investments (UKGI) is a government-owned company wholly owned by HM Treasury.  It operates as an arm’s length body of HM Treasury, working across government to ensure that publicly owned assets achieve value for money for the taxpayer.  UKGI brings together a unique blend of high-calibre people drawn from the private and public sectors, making it an excellent place to enhance commercial and corporate governance skills and knowledge of government working. Our work is often discussed at the highest level of Government as well as in the media and we are trusted advisors to Ministers and senior officials across a range of Departments and subject areas.

Working as a key member of the Income Contingent Repayment (ICR) Student Loans Sale Team, you will lead the communications for the loan sale programme, both within Government and with Parliament and other external stakeholders. You will be a crucial interface between Government and the market facing transaction, so developing and delivering advice and briefing for Ministers and senior officials on strategic issues and at key decision points will be required. Relationships are key in this role, you will need to be able to oversee and coordinate multiple stakeholders, during live transactions and towards development of the wider programme strategy. As well as the student loan sales role, there may be opportunity to get involved with other UKGI projects or initiatives, so this truly is a role where you can take as much as you put in.

UKGI has a strong commitment to equality and diversity. Our aim is to be an open and inclusive department, recruiting and retaining diverse, talented and high-performing people who support and develop one another.

This post is available on a full time, part time or job share basis, and flexible working hours can be accommodated.
