Part-time Support Workers, Thornbury

Dean Healthcare is recruiting for part-time permanent support staff for one our clients in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire.

I am recruiting for three part-time positions, with hours varying between 13.5 to 29.75 per week.

This residential, supported living role requires flexible people with a positive and calm attitude, and optimistic outlook.

You will need to be empathetic, energetic and enjoy supporting people to reach their full potential in a residential setting. You will receive an hourly salary of between £8.60 - £9.20 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Main responsibilities:

  • To provide a supportive and sociable environment to help individuals develop life skills.
  • To join in with and lead creative and outdoor activities.
  • To provide care and support of the highest standard by following the plans in place.
  • Attend off-site activities with residents, including meals out, swimming, cinema etc.
  • Complete and compile the relevant necessary paperwork to ensure compliance.

What you will need:

  • Experience within a similar role or working within the health and social care sector is advantageous.
  • Experience with learning disabilities is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and clear communication skills.
  • Driving licence desirable due to location.
