Accounts Assistant – Wigan - £25,000 (pro rata)
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced/part qualified Accounts Assistant to join our client’s growing team in Hindley Green.
Our client is a long-established cardboard box packaging company providing a number of packaging solutions to a wide range of household names.
This part-time position of around 20 hours per week is to support the current Accounts Manager.
The role:
• Generate daily sales invoices
• Check bank balance and enter receipts onto debtors ledger
• Process purchase invoices and credits on creditors ledger
• Deal with sales queries;
? -credit checking
? - debt recovery
? - customer refunds
• Run credit control processes
• Collate information from management system to aid commercial decisions.
• Process supplier payments
• Liaise with external payroll and aid transition to inhouse.
• Reconcile bank account
• Purchase ledger input
• VAT returns
• All duties up to trial balance
• Assisting with monthly management accounts
• Raising purchase orders
• Dealing with supplier statements and queries
• Raising new accounts including due diligence via Coface and Experian
If you:
• Have at least 2 years’ experience of accounts experience
• Proficient in MS Office: word and excel,
• Positive attitude
• Credibility – able to take control of situations
• Excellent organisational skills
• Team player
• Drive and ambition
• Ability to problem solve and prioritise work
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal at all levels inc Management
• Hold a relevant qualification or even part qualified will be considered
The position is part time at 20 hours per week and benefits from a pro rata salary of £25,000
