An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join the team at a Nursing home in St Neots.

This new refurbished care home provides nursing and respite care for elderly residents, some of whom have dementia or physical disabilities. Staff morale is very high and there is a welcoming atmosphere to the home.

Responsibilities

• Administer and order medicines as required by the home in accordance with the homes’ policies and procedures.
• Develop, implement and review care plans, focusing on the patients and mentoring to get the most out of your team.
• Follow NMC guidelines and codes in all areas of nursing in the home.
• Assess clinical risks and support other staff
• Ensure home is well kept and maintain excellent relationships with relative’s families

Skills

• Have experience of writing care plans
• Ideally have experience of working with the elderly, dementia and physical disabilities
• Excellent communication with people from all levels and keep organised under pressure
• Have previous experience of leading teams of carers, working as a Nurse solo but also being part of a large nursing team.

Qualification

• Registered Nurse with the NMC with a full clean and in-date Pin
• Can be a Registered Mental Health Nurse / Registered General Nurse / Registered LD Nurse RMN/RGN/RNLD.
• Happy to consider Newly Qualified Nurses, Clinical Leads, Deputy Managers or Home Managers

Role information

• Salary: £16 – £19.00 p/h
• Hours: Days or Nights or a Mix. Full time or Part-time
• Training: You will be given access to tailored training programs in Leadership and internal promotion options into a Team leader, Deputy Manager or Home Manager. Nurses are given the opportunity for career development and excellent training.
