We are looking for an experienced and ambitious senior Marketing team leader to lead a highly effective Marketing team in delivering one of Government’s most successful and high-profile communications campaign, THINK! road safety. 

You will lead a confident, professional team delivering best in class campaigns primarily delivering an integrated THINK! Road safety portfolio. You will also provide strategic marketing advice to the wider Department for Transport (DfT) Communications Group and other departmental campaigns, ensuring resource is resilient and flexible to cover emerging demands.

Your duties for the role will include leading a team of five Communications specialists to: 

• Plan and lead the development of strategies for proactive communication campaigns based on insight and evaluation. 

• Set KPIs and evaluate on a regular basis to optimize the campaign 

• Provide professional communications advice to Ministers, senior policy and communication colleagues 

• Work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders/partners to develop and deliver successful campaigns. 

• Deliver campaigns in a timely manner and within budget. 

About you 

You have previous experience of delivering successful behavioural change campaigns with pride and dedication. 

A deeply engaging leader, you have experience of managing a successful team and building an inclusive team spirit. 

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, presenting your recommendations and proposals professionally and persuasively to key stakeholders. You demonstrate confidence in dealing with people at all levels and have the credibility to influence at a senior level. 

You are exceptionally organised with a flexible working approach to accommodate emerging and competing demands. You are a strategic thinker who can look beyond the norm and offer a creative direction for your team.
