Senior Care Assistant Duties: Senior Care Assistants work closely with the homes management team and the qualified nurse on shift to ensure care delivery in the home is to the highest standard Work under the leadership of the qualified nurse on a shift by shift basis and in cooperation with the plan and lead the effective deployment of the care staff on duty to meet the needs of the homes clients Work with the qualified nurse to ensure all daily care records and charts are up to date Work as a key worker for a number of clients assisting the named nurse to ensure assessments, risks assessment and care plans are kept up to date Coordinating the deployment of care staff on a shift by shift basis Assisting in completing assessments, risk assessments, and care plans Supporting the homes medication processAssisting with maintaining daily care records Assisting with the homes quality audit processes as requested by the homes management team Supervising care staff Requirements You must have at least 2 years UK care experience, Minimum of 2 years UK care experience within a care home setting At least 3 years checkable work history and references Original passport, documented right to work in the UK, National Insurance number Completed Care Certificate NVQ 3 qualified Medication qualification and experience Complete a new advanced DBS current cost £50.60 (The DBS update service is zero cost) Senior Care Assistant Experience: Supporting older people with dementia, the frail or young adults with physical or learning disabilities Experience with care plans and risk assessments that reflect the wishes and needs of the individuals Work within the guidance of each home and healthcare organisation that your shift is based Experience of working as a Senior Care Assistant Experience of managing medication Benefits Earn from £11.00 up to £16.00 paid weekly Choose from day or night shifts (so you can work at a time that suits you) You’ll join our employee of the month scheme with prizes Amazing free CPD accredited training in many mandatory and specialist subjects Free uniform Mobile Shift Technology Share your work availability Accept shifts on the go!
