Scheme Coordinator
Taunton
£12,305 - £13,601 (£20,063 - £22,175 FTE pro rata) per annum
Permanent, Part Time (23 hours per week)
Our client is a leading developer of affordable and social housing in the South West. From the shores of Cornwall to the Gloucestershire hills, they have a vision to build real social change in their region, one front door at a time.
They are looking for a Scheme Manager to work at their sheltered scheme in Taunton.
As a Scheme Coordinator you will assist residents to maintain their tenancies and enable them to stay independent for as long as possible. You will provide a full housing management service and to have responsibility for the scheme health and safety checks.
Your main tasks will include:
- Completing tenancy management plans with residents individually to identify support needs and ensure appropriate support is provided.
- Providing a complete housing management service.
- Completing the regular health and safety scheme checks – fire alarm testing, checking emergency lighting, fire equipment, water testing for legionella etc.
- Management of the voids and lettings process and working to reduce rental arrears.

To be successful in the role of Scheme Coordinator, you will:
- Have an empathy to the needs of an older age group
- Have the initiative and drive to provide a responsive and sensitive service to meet a wide range of needs.
- Possess excellent verbal, IT, and written communication skills.
They are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. Therefore, appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
