Safehands Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to join a well-established and committed team of staff in the provision of care and support for up to 3 young females aged 11 to 18.

The young people you will be supporting may have experienced trauma or are at risk of CSE. These young people often have complex needs including Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, ASD, Challenging Behaviour and who have potentially already been within the care system between residential and fostering placements.

Salary ranging from £20,800 – £22,880 a year (depending on experience, linked to competency and qualifications). Both full-time and part-time hours are available.

Key responsibilities:

The ability to work as a key member of team
Provide high standards of person-centred support and care to our young people
Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting them in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible.
Ability to support new staff and encourage development through the team
Maintain a high standard of recording using policies, procedures to ensure Safeguarding

Essential:

Previous experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour
NVQ Level 3 Children’s and Young Peoples Workforce
Shift Management
12 Months experience within a similar role
Excellent communication skills
Effective organisational capability
