Support Worker

Our client is looking for passionate Support Workers with experience of Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties or Learning Difficulties.

They provide Supported Living support to young adults with mental. health needs, autism, EBD or learning difficulties on site at Hadleigh Road, Ipswich and require two full time permanent Support Workers to work in a home setting, providing emotional and wellbeing support for up to 8 young adults.

Location: Ipswich
Job type: Full Time, Permanent (guaranteed hours)
Hours: Typically, 20, 30 or 40 hours over 2,3 4 shifts
Salary: £8.80 per hour

As Support Worker you will encourage clients to become independent in every aspect of their daily lives by providing them with, mental wellbeing and personal finance, social skills and educational support.

You should have a background in mental health or supporting people with learning difficulties. You will be a dedicated and empathic person, with the ability to use your initiative. A flexible approach to work is essential, as is a good sense of humour.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to deal professionally with challenging behaviours is also a requirement for the role.
