Job Details

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Global Financial Planning and Analysis team within Macquarie's Financial Management Group, working across the Macquarie Asset Management business which comprises Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets and Macquarie Investment Management. Our Asset Management group is a full-service asset manager, providing clients with access to a diverse range of capabilities and products including infrastructure, real assets, equities, fixed income, liquid alternatives and multi-asset investment management solutions.

Join our Financial Management Group as an Executive within the Financial Planning & Analysis team.

The Financial Planning and Analysis team is one of the global functions of our Financial Management Group and operates as a partner to the business. As a member of the Global Financial Planning & Analysis team, which is responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis strategy, you will provide analysis and insight on the Macquarie Asset Management business, taking accountability for internal forecasting, business performance analysis and decision support.

In this role you will assist with the preparation and analysis of the group’s forecast and budget, as well as a range of ad-hoc support tasks across various initiatives. You will regularly meet with business and other Financial Management Group stakeholders to discuss the performance of the business.

Your technical skills and qualifications will include a tertiary degree in Accounting and Finance or similar as well as a CA (or equivalent) designation. You’ll also have 2-4 years’ experience in a large, complex organisation, outstanding communication skills and strong relationship management skills. A well-developed attention to detail with capacity to appreciate the “big picture” as well as prior experience working in an analytical role in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities  will be imperative.

If you have a growth mindset, are curious and have the ability to learn and adapt quickly as well as adhere to change, then apply today.

The Financial Management Group provides financial, tax and treasury services to all areas of Macquarie. The group is focused on providing strategic analysis and advice to Macquarie's businesses and senior management, managing Macquarie's funding, liquidity and capital position, ensuring Macquarie continues to meet regulatory and compliance obligations and managing Macquarie's corporate communications and investor relations.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
