BSL teacher for Level 1 course

Salary: £25.00 p/hr

Hours: part-time, negotiable, term time only

Contract: Seasonal (to start September 2019)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed person with the ability to communicate with children who have learning difficulties. This role is suitable for someone who is committed, friendly and bubbly.

Main duties & Responsibilities

* To be a native BSL user

* understanding of the learning needs of mainstream children and young people

* experience of working in educational settings

* excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines

* communicating with children and adults from different backgrounds

* carrying out assessments of pupils’ BSL learning and progression

* planning and delivery of BSL lessons

* Must Have

* Excellent networks within the Deaf community

* Experience of teaching/assessing/delivering BSL courses to children and/or adults

* BSL minimum level 3
