Permanent - Part Time - 15 hours per week.

Are you looking to work for a growing and successful Charity? If so, we are looking to recruit a Retirement Living Manager based in York. In this role you will manage the accommodation side of things and support residents. You will be the key point of contact for residents providing support and advice for them.

Your day to day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Compiling support plans with residents and risk assessments for them and for the scheme

Signpost and support residents with other agencies including health care providers, Age UK and the DWP.

Carry out morning welfare calls to tenants on a daily basis to ensure their wellbeing.

Develop a rounded support network that promotes clients maintaining their independence.

Coordinate activities and events with the resident group to promote wellbeing and help alleviate loneliness and isolation including building links in the local community

Carry out routine health and safety checks including fire alarm and emergency alarm checks

Deal with any repair issues including dealing with contractors and ensuring any repairs are made up to standard and in a timely manner.

Line manages domestic and maintenance staff - including regular supervision and meetings.

Monitor all rent accounts each month for arrears and dealt with them accordingly.

Tranquility Court sits just around the corner from the local Crossgates Methodist Church. The church's group of enthusiastic volunteers provides practical support to the residents through activities such as fundraising and organising events and outings. They enhance the well-being and community life of everyone who lives there.

Tranquility Court is a three-storey development of 22 self-contained apartments for individuals and couples. At the rear of the building, a conservatory and disabled access ramp have been added. Just a hundred yards away is a thriving shopping centre whose wide choice of amenities offer an added attraction to tenants.
