About The Role
The Early Years Alliance is the largest early years membership organisation and voluntary sector provider of quality affordable childcare and education in England. An educational charity, the Alliance represents the interests of over 14,000 member settings who deliver care and learning to over 800,000 families every year.
We have an exciting opportunity at our Head Office based in Old Street, London for a Publications & Information Officer to work with us as part of our Communications Department.

Job overview:
The successful candidate joins a busy, friendly team with responsibility for writing, editing and proofing a range of priced and free resources, with a focus on early years care and learning. You will be able to demonstrate aptitude and understanding of best practice in researching, writing and editing specialist resources (in print and online).
Leading on the development of clear information and guidance in response to a range of complex member enquiries, you will support the Information Service team in responding to a broad range of enquiries to a high standard of service, and actively support membership recruitment, retention and engagement.
Requirements:
* Proficient online-research, writing, editorial and proofreading skills.
* Proven experience of working in a role providing information and advice.
* Excellent communication skills and an ability to contribute positively to team objectives and working relationships.
* Demonstrate a commitment to an understanding of high quality customer service.
This is a great opportunity to coordinate and support the Charity’s broad range of priced and free publications and resources, whilst playing a key role in supporting member recruitment and retention.
