Are you interested in working with Assembly Members from across the political spectrum to hold the Mayor to account and investigate issues of importance to Londoners?

The London Assembly is looking for a talented individual to join its dynamic and highly-regarded Scrutiny Team, where you will be investigating some of the key challenges facing London and examining the Mayor’s policies to address them.

We are looking for someone with excellent research, analysis and project management skills, the ability to create high quality written outputs, as well as experience working in a political environment or with politicians.

On a day to day basis, you will be liaising with politicians and their teams, gathering and analysing evidence from a range of sources, developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and formulating credible recommendations for action. You will also be responsible for managing project teams for your policy areas, and ensuring that we deliver innovative, robust and high-quality work.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders inside and outside City Hall – including senior elected politicians. If you enjoy creative thinking, working in a fast-paced, political environment, and have strong research and drafting skills, this job could be perfect for you.
