Cooksongold is a leading global supplier of precious metals and high quality professional jewellery making products. We are the UK's largest one-stop shop for the jewellery maker with more than 19,000 products available for next day delivery. 

We are now recruiting a Supply Chain Manager to join us at our office based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. 

Managing and motivating your team of five, your overall responsibilities will be to manage the forecast and planning processes, optimise stock levels and improve internal procedures to ensure all activities associated with product supply is efficient and cost effective. You will achieve this by: 

- Developing a stock forecast which encompasses the business plan, peak trading activities and the marketing initiatives. 
- Analysing inventory ensuring stock turn values are consistently achieved and minimum stock levels are adjusted in line with forecast and demand plans. 
- Working closely with the Product Management Team, planning inventory for new and existing product ranges. 
- Proactively troubleshooting issues that could potentially affect inventory levels. 
- Improving SRM, specifically delivery performance. 
- Developing a good relationship with the Logistics and Production Managers to ensure inbound deliveries are managed and planned 

To be considered as the Supply Chain Manager, you will have: 
- A strong forecast and demand planning background 
- The ability to develop, implement and manage forecast, demand planning and inventory control strategies 
- Demonstrable experience managing a significant amount of SKUs 
- Experience of leading and managing a team 
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and troubleshooting skills. 
- A degree level qualification with excellent MS Excel skills 

A foreign language would also be advantageous but not critical, as would knowledge and experience from within the jewellery industry.

Hours of work: 
Ideally a 5 day working week (37.5 hours) Monday to Friday. However, part time / flexible working patterns would be considered for the right candidate.
