Residential Support Worker for children and young people
£8.41 to £9.39 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications
20 hours average per week
Dean Healthcare are currently looking for a part-time Support Worker in Bristol where our client, a residential children’s home supports young people aged 5 to 19 years with severe and complex difficulties including those on the autistic spectrum and with physical and sensory needs and challenging behaviour.
The service offers a thorough induction package, as well as many opportunities for further development, including the opportunity to complete NVQ’s.
You should:
* Have experience working within a special needs and/or support/care role (either in a paid or personal role).
* Good communication and team working skills.
* Strong literacy abilities.
* Able to work within the parameters of the physical demands of the job role.
* A positive and creative approach in meeting children’s needs.
* Be willing to undertake training.
* Be able to work within a rota pattern (which includes weekends and some other unsocial hours).
