Support Worker
Job type – Job share, Part time, permanent
Salary – £21,077 pro rata
Hours – 16 hours, Thursdays & Fridays, 9am-5pm
Location – Wolverhampton
We are a national social justice charity with more than 50 years’ experience of changing lives, building stronger communities and reducing crime. Last year alone we helped support, house, educate, advise and speak out for 38,000 disadvantaged young people and adults - and you could now help us make an even bigger impact going forward.
Who we are looking for?
We are searching for a Support Worker to support services users and promote Recovery Near You activities within the Wolverhampton area. You’ll support service users to reach their goals in line with recovery focus throughout all treatment and interventions planning. Helping with the ability to reconnect with the community via transitions to jobs, housing, and training will be part of your role. You’ll help practitioners run one to one group activities that will integrate the service user group into the community.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide information, advice and support on the telephone, face to face and in groups.
Deliver interventions in a wide range of settings such as criminal justice, primary care, schools and youth centres.
Undertake elements of assessment and case management with clients as directed.
Liaise with external agencies, e.g. GP's, treatment providers, and social care services.
Promoter Recovery Near You services in around the Wolverhampton area
Ideally you will have some support or social work experience but Nacro will look at candidates who have minimal experience but relevant qualifications.
A DBS check will be required for this role.
