We are looking for a very special person to fill the role of Teaching Assistant at St Peter’s School in Kettering. The role will involve working to support individuals, groups and classes of children in our happy school environment working with highly qualified and committed teaching staff.

St Peter’s School is an independent co-educational day school in Headlands, Kettering housed partly in a beautiful Victorian building and wholly within a green and leafy walled campus. We were established in 1946 and amongst other things our mission is to educate children from nursery age to age 11 when they move on to the school of their choice.

This role requires a person who is calm, nurturing and who has good communication and written skills. You will have high expectations for our children in both their learning and behaviour and will ideally have experience working within a school environment. You will have a school relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent, and in return you will be joining a committed team of friendly staff and supportive parents. This role will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance, satisfactory medical clearance, references and the right to work in the UK. Successful candidates will be expected to adhere to our Child Protection and related policies.

The salary for this part time role is £7,232 per annum paid over twelve months per year.

The hours of work are contained within the pack and total 20.25 per week over four days, working 38 weeks per year.
