The Day Surgery Unit is currently looking for a flexible Band 5 ODP or Registered nurse with Day Surgery or Operating Theatre experience. Ideally you will have experience as an anaesthetic practitioner.

This role is Part Time 30 hours per week

You will have with good communication skills to work in a busy day surgery unit.

The staff in the unit rotate into theatre, recovery and anaesthetics as well as the ward.

The Day Surgery Unit is situated in a purpose built unit at Princess Royal Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team and be part of an exciting change in fantastic facilities.

The Day Surgery Unit performs a variety of surgical procedures for Orthopaedic Hand Trauma Gynaecology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Digestive Diseases specialities. The unit is currently open Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 8.00 pm.

The day surgery team provides a comprehensive induction and orientation programme.

Posts in the Trust are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, and cautions.

Appointment to this role will commence at the lowest salary point unless confirmed otherwise by HR Employment Services (Recruitment, Administration & Terms and Conditions)
