Manpower are currently recruiting for a part-time Membership Administrator/Secretary for their client based in Nottingham. This is a temporary, ongoing role starting immediately. The purpose of the role is to provide full administrative support to the regional officers in the district and maintain all administrative systems for the office.


* Supporting regional officers and team members

* Diary management

* Message taking

* Minute taking

* Updating changes of addresses

* Ordering stationary

* Reception duties and adhoc administration duties


* Good interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate with people at all levels

* Displays a flexible and co-operative approach to initiating and completing changes of processes/working practices

* Discretion and the ability to work to a high degree of confidentiality

* Awareness of security issues relating to cash handling etc.

* Ability to draft correspondence, reports and information for committees

* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

* Ability to prioritise workloads

* Working knowledge of office systems and procedures

* Knowledge of taking minutes at meetings

* Ability to assist with balloting arrangements

* Ability to extract statistics from computer records

* Excellent numeracy skills

* Competent use of all Microsoft Office applications particularly Microsoft Word.

* Transcription skills using appropriate techniques (e.g. Shorthand, Speedwriting etc.)

Previous office experience in a secretarial and administrative capacity would be advantageous.

This is a part-time role working 9:00AM – 1:00PM Monday – Friday. The successful candidate will be paid £18.36/ph paid weekly.
