Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit Male Support Workers who have a great sense of humour and an enthusiastic and caring nature to support at our supported living service to two males and two females who have a range of learning disabilities. There are various full or part time positions available (16 to 37.5 hours) on a permanent basis.

Your daily role will consist of assisting those we support with their medication, personal care, updating support plans and risk assessments, finances and daily living tasks. The service is minutes away from the local bus and rail network, so London is their oyster! Those we support love to be out and about in the community and have a variety of hobbies, which include taking a trip on trains, watching airplanes at the city airport, visiting café’s in the local community and attending disco’s.

You will be responsible for providing a person centred service. Staff are required to be proactive, supporting individuals to meet personal goals at home and play an active part of the local and wider community. The individuals like to be fully involved in everything that is happening with their lives and need you to ensure this happens for them.

You must be willing to work flexibly for shifts between 07.00 - 22.00. You will work on a rota basis throughout the week and at weekends including some Bank Holidays. You will be required to do some sleep over shifts which is approximately one per week.
