The Assistant Director Delivery (Digital) will be responsible for leading the Digital Development and Digital Change Programmes within Homes England, which are key in our future organisation transformation.

This exciting new role will work closely with the Chief Executive, Directors Group, Transformation Lead and Chief Digital and Technology Officer to continuously shape the priorities and direction to champion user centred design and a healthy open culture of change.

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for a talented individual to play a key role alongside the leadership team in transforming an organisation with ambitious plans.

We are looking for a talented individual capable of leading a software development team and ensuring that objectives, goals and commitments are met.

The successful candidate will be:
Adept at delivering complex digital projects and programmes being able to resolve large or high-risk commercial management issues.
Responsible for coordinating and driving forward complex delivery products and projects, collaborating and liaising with internal and external clients and senior stakeholders.
Leading the Delivery Team, ensuring the right capacity and capabilities can deliver the transformation solutions successfully.
Working with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure all digital solutions align across the organisation avoiding duplication.
Management of Delivery commercials and budgets.
Proficient in ensuring the proper processes, tools, people and resources are leveraged to deliver the very best digital delivery.

Providing thought leadership and advocacy for organisational change as well as lead a multi-disciplinary team of programme, portfolio and agile specialists to enable work stream leads to a more iterative, user centred way of working.

ResponsibilitiesYou will also have a demonstrable track record of leading transformational programmes within a complex, fast paced and ambiguous environment as well as strong knowledge of agile methods are essential.

In addition, we would expect you to have a solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in Agile Project Management tools and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level.

Selection process details

All appointments are on Homes England terms and conditions. Full time hours for this post are 35 hours per week; alternative flexible working arrangements would be considered.

Please note - Homes England has a responsibility to ensure compliance with HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard to address the potential problems of identity fraud, illegal working and deception generally. To ensure compliance we will carry out a pre-employment Personal Identity and Vetting Report through Equifax to meet the standard and you will therefore be asked to provide certain information in order that the verification check can be carried out if you are successful in your application.

Should an appointment be made to a London base location a London Allowance of £3,883 will be paid per annum.
