Job Details

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for you to join our Market Operations Division as a Corporate Actions Analyst, on a 6 month fixed term contract basis.

Sitting directly with the Traders, you will be responsible for the end-to-end Corporate Action event life cycle across non-cash and elective events for all our trading activities. You will process trading desk and client elections, entitlements and counter-party claims, as well as dealing with withholding tax and associated internal reporting obligations.

Utilising your natural ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships, you will be trusted to provide Corporate Action expertise to traders, in addition to interacting and responding to queries from middle-office, finance and custodians. Your aptitude for new and varied systems, and your ability to challenge existing processes and implement process improvements will make you a valued member of our team. You will undoubtedly be working within a high-pressure environment, but we trust that your approach to work will be enthusiastic and flexible enough to take on this challenge.

To be successful in this role, you will have 2 years’ prior experience in a similar middle-office or operations role. Due to the scope of the role, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as having good knowledge of corporate actions in both domestic and international markets.

If you have excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, please apply now.

At Macquarie we offer you the experience and freedom to grow your career whilst making your mark within a highly successful organisation. Key to our success is the entrepreneurialism we encourage in all our people. We give you the opportunity to progress your career as quickly as you can demonstrate your ability.

The Market Operations division within Macquarie's Corporate Operations Group provides independent specialist verification, confirmation, booking and settlement facilities for a variety of products and currencies for many of Macquarie's businesses globally. The division provides a key segregated control function for wholesale businesses built on strong operational risk management and a control culture that is consistent and resilient

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
