Safehands Recruitment are currently recruiting for Support Workers throughout the South Gloucestershire location to support young people with substance misuse related illnesses and homelessness who are in vulnerable situations within a Supported Living setting.

Salary ranging from £17,000 - £19,000 (depending on experience, linked to competency and qualifications). Full and part-time hours available on a rota basis.

The role:

To deliver person centred support in a safe and secure environment, with a focus on promoting independence wherever possible.

Key responsibilities:

To be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all individuals whilst on duty
To work in line with Individual Care Plan or agreement, the wishes of the individual and as directed by key agencies
Promoting the development of independent living skills wherever possible
To carry out checks to ensure delivery sites are safe and suitable for use
Provide access to a range of specialist services from external agencies to meet any needs, in order to provide them with a ‘portable’ care package
Document interaction with individuals, ensuring that professional, non-judgmental and adequate information is recorded
Engage with practical activities, in particular those which promote and develop learning, social skills, healthy lifestyles, arts and culture, aiming to broaden horizons and raise aspirations
Support individuals in line with their wishes to engage in training, education, employment or voluntary work
Where applicable, to liaise with external agencies and assist in the planning of the resettlement of individuals
