We are pleased to be exclusively working with a small, local and well-established financial services provider based in the North West. We are looking for a driven sales individual that is passionate about doing the right thing for their clients as well as exceeding sales targets. As Business Development Manager you will have previous finance experience and a good understanding of the broker sector in-particular asset finance. You will have the autonomy to make this brand-new role your own and will have the ability to sell your services nationwide priding yourself on doing things differently to your competitors. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to utilise their industry sales experience for a flexible employer on terms that suit you. If you are fed up of the 9-5 slog and are looking to utilise your wealth of knowledge within this sector in a role that offers flexibility for an employer who is offering home based working with no micro-management then this could be for you. Due to this being a home-based role you could be situated anywhere in the UK working from the comfort of your own home. Our client is offering a competitive starting salary, flexible working with hours to suit (part-time and full-time hours will be considered), flexibility in school holidays, great earning potential and home working.

Role:

For new and existing businesses, it's important to prioritise investing in the things which will help them grow. Whether it's new equipment or a refresh of your space it's not always possible for our clients to find the funds on their own. We are here first and foremost to help them find a deal. No matter what the customers circumstances we'll guide them through the process as well as provide totally impartial advice.

As Business Development Manager your priority is to assist us in acquiring new customers through generating leads, building strong client-relationships, tracking new markets and emerging trends, recommending products and services, propose and develop new strategic partnerships, write proposals and plans, and follow up activity in order to secure new business and exceed sales targets by the Managing Director.

Responsibilities….

To source leads, establish decision maker, make introductory sales calls and schedule follow up activity

* Serve as the lead point of contact for all new and potential clients

* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

* Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives

• Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits

• Manage and follow up pipeline business

• Complete customer sign-ups where applicable

• Maintain existing relationships and contacts within current vendors, suppliers, introducers

• Assist with challenging and difficult client requests or issue escalations as needed

• Maintain accurate records of activity

• Update systems to record all transaction details (telephone conversations, emails, internal communications)

• Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to the Managing Director

• Forecast and track key account metrics

Essential skills:

* Proven track record of success in growing profitable sales within the finance industry

* Knowledge of asset finance is essential, commercial mortgage experience would also be an advantage

* Able to demonstrate a consultative sales approach

* Ability to build relationships and rapport with clients

* Strong communication skills - with the ability to influence

* Sales and negotiations skills - questioning & listening skills

* Proactive and solution led attitude to delivering sales numbers

* Able to work on own initiative

* Good organisational skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Self-motivated and passionate about delivering targets

* Team player but with the ability to work well alone

* Accurate reporting skills and attention to detail
