Days/time required: Monday – Friday 08.30 – 16.30

Part time considered if full time not possible

Brief Job Description: This band 7 post is primarily working on a 42 bedded older people’s rehab ward based in a large Community Hospital. They will have a caseload of frail older people with a range of long term conditions including dementia and Parkinson’s disease. The post holder will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention for clients with complex acquired speech, language and swallowing difficulties. They will be responsible for a band 5 SLT working on the ward and in an older people’s rehab out patient service which is closely linked. They may see some of the more complex patients in the outpatient setting to support the band 5.

They will be professionally supported by a band 8A SLT
