Just ONE requires Leaving Care Youth Support Workers to join our expanding service. We're looking for committed, enthusiastic staff who can match our passion for delivering a fantastic and safe service to our Young adults. Our staff are professional and committed. We encourage and support looked after Young People leaving the care system aged 16 - 18 in Torquay and surrounding areas.
The purpose of the role is to provide support for Young People aged between 16-18 for them to take control of their lives and promote semi-independent living. This includes practical and emotional support, assisting and encouraging individuals to carry out everyday living tasks such as cooking, shopping, budgeting and household tasks, to enable them to live safely and as independently as possible. We also encourage Young People to engage within their community including enrolling in education, seeking employment, and pursuing appropriate leisure and hobby activities, support in engaging with health services including CAMHs and sexual health services.
Supporting young people in developing their independent living skills including;
* How to manage a tenancy
* Support in further education/ employment
* Emotional support / managing conflict
* Support in developing healthy relationships
* Managing young people’s risks
* Financial support
* Independent living skills
NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People or equivalent experience is required; we are open to passionate candidates who share the same commitment and values as ourselves.
Full training is available and we will continuously provide the training and support you need to succeed and grow.
Our Benefits:

We offer flexible working hours with full/part time hours available.
We offer permanent 16 & 32 hour contracts.
Early Day Shifts: 7am – 3pm at £9.00ph
Late day Shifts: 3pm – 11pm at £9.00ph
Sleeping Night Shifts: 11pm – 7am (8 x hours at £8.21)
For example on a 32 hour contract you can earn £21,800 per annum + over time.
(32 day shift hours at £9.00ph plus 2 x nights of 16 hours at £8.21ph for a sleeping night equates to £21,806.72)

Job offer is subject to 5 years satisfactory references and DBS disclosure. Disclosure cost of £44.00 to be met by employee.
