Sugarman are now recruiting community based Support Workers in Otley for a market leading care organisation based in North Yorkshire.

Successful applicants will deliver person centred care to vulnerable people with complex needs in a residential or supported living environment and out within the community.

As part of the role you will provide personal care and vital teaching and guidance of interpersonal life skills. You will create positive lasting relationships and promote vulnerable people to grow as individuals, allowing them to gain confidence and access services and groups within their local community. As a support worker you will advocate for customers and help them work towards goal focused positive outcomes.

Good verbal and written skills and a can-do attitude are essential and applicants must be able to work effectively as part of a team. Duties require you to be respectful towards client’s dignity and to assist customers to make informed independent choices.

Rota includes both morning and afternoon shifts as well as Sleep in work. Waking night shifts are also available for those who are interested in night work only, as is day work with no overnight stays. Full and part time roles are available. Weekends are required on a rota basis. Wherever possible candidates must be flexible and accommodating to the needs of the service.

Pay rates are £8.21 per hour (over 25) and £7.70 per hour (under 25) with additional benefits such as £100 (full time) and £50 (part time) in shopping vouchers following completion of your induction*

Applicants must commit to completing mandatory training both online and face to face and can gain the Care Certificate as a qualification which is transferable.
