A part-time Health and Safety Advisor is required for a highly sought-after opportunity with a highly profitable business, within an office environment in the South Yorkshire region.

With approximately 200 heads on site and a turnover of over £50million, this is an amazing opportunity for Health and Safety advisor to work in a business that has an extremely high standard of Health and Safety.

The successful candidate will manage the whole health and safety department and play a vital role in maintaining and improving health and safety standards.

The Health and Safety Advisor’s main responsibilities and duties include:

- Maintain a strong understanding of knowledge regarding health, safety and environment legislation in relation to the business, ensuring that there is a swift distribution of information which may be required in the development of projects

- Determine what changes may need to be made in the event of any new or updated policies or procedures

- Ensure that ISO45001 standards are met and that the company complies will all policies and legislation is relation to health and safety

- Determine Health and Safety targets and measurable goals, execute programmes and set KPIs to ensure that the agreed targets are met

- Produce reports based the results of inspections by externals and internal parties that identify areas that require immediate attention and recommendations

- Create health and safety policies and training for all staff in addition to managing technical and policy documentation relevant to business requirements

- Maintain and update the Company’s Business Continuity Plan alongside the Facilities Manager

- Carry out health and safety audits and inspections, write a full report and submit the findings

I am keen to speak to Heath and Safety Advisors with the following:

- NEBOSH certificate or diploma

- ISO experience

- Previous experience in a Health, Safety and Environment role

- Experience delivering Health and Safety training to a large audience

- Experience in identifying areas of opportunity to reduce cost whilst maintaining excellent health and safety standards and customer service

- Good communication skills and great organisational skills
